Of course we met at a track meet! Nate's mom, Ardin, lured Cherie to the meet to "watch the pole vault competition". Halfway through the meet she told Cherie that her son would be competing in the next event. After watching Nate's race, they went down and met him on the side of the track and, as they say, the rest was history!

Our first date!

Nate's first trip to Athens, GA with Cherie and the first time that he met her extended family. It's a miracle that he asked her to be his girlfriend on this night!

First Thanksgiving together. Little did we know that this view would become the backdrop of our wedding!

On this day, Nate flew from Canada to Atlanta, rented a car, and drove almost 4 hours to be in Clayton, Georgia with Cherie's family. In the middle of his drive, Nate realized just how much he loved Cherie and (finally) told her later that night! This ~lovely~ little town will host our welcome party and guests for the wedding weekend.

Shortly after dating, we made a tradition of hiking together on New Year's Day. This photo was taken in the exact spot that Nate propose at the following year!
